Riverbend's 18th Annual Champions for Mental Health Award Ceremony: Tuesday October 22, 2024 Riverbend honors outstanding leaders in mental health Elaine de Mello, LICSW, and Dr. Cassie Yackley for decades of service to New Hampshire’s system of mental health care, by naming them each as a 2024 Champion for Mental Health. In addition to significant clinical work, both women have built systems, established trainings and curriculums, forged partnerships, and generously shared their knowledge and passion with current practitioners and future leaders in the mental health field. The Champions for Mental Health event took place on Tuesday, October 22 at the Bank of NH Stage in Concord. The annual ceremony shines a light on the importance of mental health and broadens community engagement around supporting Riverbend and the entire community mental health system in New Hampshire.

The NH Psychological Association selected Dr. Cassie Yackley for the Margaret Riggs Distinguished Contributions Award. Cassie’s commitment and motivation have had an enormous impact in promoting trauma-informed care and creating a network of mental health providers who deliver an evidence-based practice for very young children across the State of New Hampshire. The Awards celebration was held during the annual members meeting at Rivier University on June 23rd 2023.
Dr. Cathleen “Cassie” Yackley was selected by the New Hampshire Children’s Health Foundation as the 2023 recipient of the Sandi Van Scoyoc Legacy Award. NH CHF presented the award on June 14th the Audubon Center in Concord during the NH CPP Advocacy Gathering.
